Services Provided

  • Consultations are a perfect way to know if the Therapist and Client are a good fit with one another.

In the formal approach I conduct, I separate it into three sections:

    1. Client Disclosure: Client takes the time to explain the reason(s) they are seeking therapy at this time. They can discuss events and stressors that led to this decision.

    2. Therapist Information: I provide my background information and approach to therapy/individual sessions.

    3. Logistics: In depth discussion regarding HIPAA maintenance with virtual setting, calendar availability, cancellation/no show fees, and structure of sessions.

*Clients are also welcome to ask any questions or state concerns that they have and I will answer truthfully and honestly.

  • This is the primary service provided. Each session is 60 minutes in length and can be weekly or biweekly, dependent on factors pertinent to the individual.

Sessions are catered to the needs of the Client and have the following structure

    • First 10 Minutes: “Top of Mind” and a review of last session

    • Middle 40 Minutes: We take from what is discussed in the first 10 minutes and unpack that together.

    • Last 10 Minutes: Review of session, discussion for following session, and any scheduling logistics to be discussed.

About Me

I am a Indian-American Clinical Therapist. Born in India and raised in Southern California, with small stints in Atlanta, Nashville, Denver, the Central Coast, and New York. I think of myself as a nationally nomadic individual. I graduated from NYU - Silver School of Social Work and obtained employment at Mount Sinai Hospital. When the pandemic hit us, I decided to add virtual therapy and loved the connections with Clients and the individualized clinical work. This inspired me to pivot my career as a full time therapist.

Apart from my therapeutic self, I truly enjoy being present and focused in building my personal life. That includes decorating and designing spaces that are welcoming and comfortable, hiking and yoga, traveling abroad, loving my pup (Kulfi), a good conversation and hang with friends, and playing Carrom (although I am awful at it).

My Therapeutic Style

Every therapist has a different approach and style. I’ve been trained and studied numerous evidence based practices (Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Crisis Management, Solution Oriented, Problem Solving, and Mindfulness, etc.), but I am eclectic in my approach and borrow from numerous practices to make sessions feel like a conversation. Being South Asian, I also add cultural elements and understanding that can deviate from westernized approaches.

I start off validating and reflecting with you in order to get to know you and how you see the world. As we build rapport, I present the challenging questions and provide positive confrontation. If you are ready for your therapeutic journey, contact me below!
